A Prayer Seeking Rain©
Updated: Jan 31
Holy Creator of all, thoughts bounce around our brains
Grief seeking expression
Dearest Friend Jesus
Flow Spirit of Life Wind
Once cocooned as caterpillars
Help us become like butterflies
Holy Midwife intercede
Sheer silence speaks
too deep for words
Open ears tuned to Father
So we listen like children feeling Mama's breath
Waiting for nourishment
Soak the parchment of our souls:
Shootings project dysfunction into bullets
Fire crackers screaming
Tears of refugee children merge with Mama and Dada's tears screeching "Home?" "Where Home?"
War spreads like pollution effecting all marginalized persons the most because those entrusted with more tend to neglect taking enough time each day to ask
"What really matters?"
Even when we know what really matters
Do we act like what really matters
Not us, Lord?
Lord, have mercy!"
Like dowsers seeking water sources
avoiding pangs of new birth travail
Sleepwalking motions avoid unsettled souls who listen for sheer silence to
speak to the why's of suffering
Endless cycles watching media who usually neglect
Good News revealing encounters with
Making whole presence
Come saturating grace
Quench the parchment of all souls!!!
Grant us the patience to endure storms stirring souls
Quieter of Storms
Gently pour soaking grace
Bathe tears of suffering with pools of agape...
With Courage to Be
Immersing all God made toes
Deep in water
Causing us to hate and divide
Trying to Outshout holy silence
For what we really crave are
with Holy Trinity
Making whole love
Forming beloved community
Master of the Universe
Teach us to seek
Rain for the brain
The quenching of all souls.
Rest in the rainbow fulfilled promises of God's Never Ending Love!
