A Pilgrimage based upon Christ-like Friendship Formation immersed in the triune agape of God’s love
This intensive journey is designed for a core vision team of clergy/laity (6-12 persons) to partner with another congregation’s core vision team across ethnicity (and/or denomination or any perceived differences) to form intentional Christ-like friendships that will inspire ministry improvisations that will enable us to reach more persons in the community together than we reach as a silo church.
We will share stories, share worship services, and meals together.
We will take prayer walks in the community together.
One of our gatherings will occur in a sacred setting such as The Woolworth’s Building in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The core vision teams will take a pilgrimage together to a place that will take everyone out of our comfort zones and provide helpful formational seeds for transformation.
(For instance, Jesus' Friends Are Our Friends Too has led a pilgrimage to Koinonia Farm located in Americus, Georgia. This farm was founded by Clarence Jordan and an inter-racial farming community in the 1940’s.)
This intensive journey will be facilitated by a team of two trained leaders across ethnicity who walk beside your core vision teams over a six-month period to embody transformative life changing ministry in the communities with whom you serve.
Format:
This will be described during an informational session when the JFAOFT team of facilitators meet with the core vision teams.
Honorarium: Will be agreed upon per each context. Deposit of $250 Required.
